The role: Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance

Google’s Treasury team is on a mission to optimize the return on Google’s financial assets. As a member of this team, you’re always looking for innovative ways to help Google invest for the future while limiting volatility and material surprises. In addition to risk busting and asset management, you work collaboratively to administer business insurance programs and stock programs, and provide financial analysis support to our internal teams. You make creative yet calculated decisions that are backed by both experience and your extensive knowledge of the economy and financial industry.

Your work history should demonstrate job stability with increasing levels of responsibility. Analyst will report to the Assistant Treasurer responsible for Corporate Finance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide and execute analysis on valuation and structures in support of Google merger, acquisition and investment activities
• Work collaboratively across Google to develop and advance sophisticated, quantitative analyses that translates internal and external data into actionable insights
• Develop financing strategies for new initiatives as required. Model and execute synthetic cash transactions related to acquisitions
• Partner with internal teams to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast of corporate cash performance
• Support Google Capital Markets and Alternative Investment activities Support Google Alternative Investment activities

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature, preferably engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics, or finance. (In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience)
• 2 years of experience in investment banking or corporate treasury

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Detail oriented, versatile, innovative and creative
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of VBA and Macros, Data Modeling and Statistical analysis
• Strong organizational and time management skills
